A text box commenting displays a free text annotation directly on the page. It has no open or closed state. Instead of being displayed in a pop-up window, the text is always visible.
A Commenting Highlight Tool is a text box indeed. When it is created, it has zero border size, yellow fill color and 0.5 opacity.

Here is the list of the properties.
Text String the content text string to be displayed for the annotation. Spell Checker Verify the spelling of words in the text string box. Author The author of the annotation. Subject Text representing a short description of the subject being addressed by the annotation. Show Border If set, the border will display onto the page. Thickness The thickness of the border. Printable on PDF If clear, it will display and not print onto the page; If set, it will display and print onto the page. Border Color
The color for the border line.
Border Width
The line thickness of the border.
Border Style
Solid: a solid rectangle surrounding the annotation.
Dashed: a dashed rectangle surrounding the annotation. Dash is the line length in point; Gap is the distance in point between the dashed lines.Border/Text Color
The color for the border and text.
Fill Color The background color. Opacity The constant opacity value to be used in painting the annotation. This value applies to all visible elements of the annotation in its closed state (including its background and border) but not to the popup window that appears when the annotation is opened. The opacity vary from 0.0 (no contribution) to 1.0 (maximum contribution). Rotate
The text direction inside the box: 0, 90, 180 or 270.
Position (Left, Right, Top, Bottom)
The X and Y coordinate of the box to define the position of the field.
Font Encode

Font Name
Some font is empty for the selected Font Encode. You must play with several fonts to see if it works inside PDFill. Only affect the display inside PDFill.
Font Size
Font Size. Only affect the display inside PDFill.
Font Style
Font Regular, Bold, Italic and Bold Italic. Only affect the display inside PDFill.
Set this field as default
If set, the new object will have the same properties as this one.
Note: Adobe Acrobat doesn't have font style option for PDF Commenting Text. So, the text style inside PDFill will be different than that inside Adobe Reader.
To exactly control the text's styles (font encode, font name, font size and font style) , please use the Single Line Text or Multiple Line Text.
