Free PDF Tools 4: Rotate and Crop PDF Pages

This FREE PDF Tool can rotate a PDF page by 0, 90, 180 and 270 degree or crop a PDF page to modify its layout of Print or View by specifying its margins.

There are options to select Page Number, All pages, Landscape Page Only, Portrait Page Only, Odd Page or Even Page. For rotation, you can define 0, 90, 180 and 270 degree. For crop box, you can define the left, right, bottom and top margins.

Note: If you want to rotate PDF Page in any degree, please use PDFill PDF Editor's Deskew Document.  This function can rotate, move and scale PDF page like an image.

Here are the steps on how to Rotate and Crop PDF Pages:

1. Choose  Free PDF Tools > Rotate and Crop PDF Pages

2. Select a PDF that you want to rotate pages.

3. The Rotate PDF Pages dialog box comes up:


  • Specify only one page number to rotate or click to select "Landscape Page only", "Portrait Page Only", "All Pages", "Odd Page", or "Even Page".
  • Check "Rotate by": 0 degree, Clockwise 90 degree, 180 degree, Counter Clockwise 90 degree;
    Check "Crop Box": Enter margins of Left, Right, Bottom and Top.
  • Click the list box to refresh the list table of page properties: Page Number, W (Width), H (Height), Orientation (P-Portrait or L-Landscape), Rotation (Original Page Rotation), Rotate by Degree, Left Margin, Right Margin, Bottom Margin and Top Margin.

4. Click Save As to have a new PDF file.  The new file may be launched automatically if you have installed Adobe Reader.

5. Do experiment with the options available to see which best suit your needs.  Click Close to finish.

Question: After Page Rotation or Crop, the PDF looks fine inside Adobe Reader but doesn't work inside other PDF viewer, how can I fix the Page Size and Orientation?

Answer:  Open your rotated or cropped PDF inside Adobe Reader and Print it to the PDFill PDF Writer into another new PDF.

Note: If you have problem to read your PDF into PDFill, open your PDF document inside Adobe Reader. Then, print into a new PDF using PDFill PDF Writer.

Batch (DOS) Command Support: (It is only available for the registered user of PDFill PDF Editor)

You can start a batch job in Windows by issuing the execution command directly from the MS-DOS command prompt window without opening the PDFill GUI.
Note: Please put "" on your file name with space. Make sure all command is in one line.

Rotate  PDF Pages

  • Degree: Rotate page by 0,  90 (Clockwise 90), 180, 270 (Counterclockwise 90)

  • -page "1,3-6, last": (Optional) The pages to be rotated.

    "C:\Program Files\PlotSoft\PDFill\PDFill.exe" ROTATE
    "D:\Test\visa.pdf"  "D:\Test\output.pdf"  90 -page "1,3-6, last"

Crop PDF Pages

  • leftMargin rightMargin bottomMargin topMargin in Point

  • -page "1,3-6, last": (Optional) The pages to be cropped.
